Microperforation is an innovative technique used in the development of flexible paper and/or film packaging. Highly prized in the food market markets, it optimizes the technical properties of packaging, enabling better product preservation. Thanks to our expertise in microperforation, we can guarantee you high quality and precision results.
Microperforation is a process by which small holes are created in a paper or film material to ensure vapor or water permeability, ventilation, respiratory activity, or to create tear lines facilitating opening. This method is particularly used to extend the shelf life of food products, especiallty in cheese and fresh salads market. It enables better regulation of humidity and gas exchange, while reducing condensation and preventing food spoilage, thus maintaining freshness. In addition, microperforation helps reduce food waste.
At BBC CELLPACK Packaging, microperforation know-how is integrated into our production processes at two of our manufacturing sites: Illfurth in France and Lauterecken in Germany. We have the capacity to microperforate in different sizes and on different materials, such as paper or film. This flexibility enables us to meet all our customers' requirements and satisfy the expectations of end-users.
