Our VOC recycling station

We are proud to share our long-standing commitment to sustainable development and recyclability.

In 2004, we invested in a solvent recycling facility, marking the beginning of our eco-responsible approach. Our printing machines emit VOCs (volatile organic componants) into the air during the printing process. These emissions are captured and treated by a VOC recovery unit.

Every month, 6 million cubic metres of air are treated, recovering 25 tonnes of pure ethyl acetate which is reused in our printing process. The residues from this treatment are incinerated in a boiler, reducing our gas consumption by 50 MWh per month, or 6%.

So, by 2022, thanks to regular investment, we have managed to reduce the consumption of this facility by 22%, or 270 MWh, which is equivalent to a reduction of 47 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

Our VOC recycling station is part of our CSR approach in packaging because this facility illustrates our commitment to minimising our environmental footprint by promoting a quasi-closed circuit for the use of ethyl acetate.

Responsible purchasing

Implementing a responsible purchasing policy is an essential pillar of our sustainable development strategy. We prefer to work closely with a limited number of competent, responsible and competitive suppliers. By working in partnership with our suppliers, we aim to develop healthy and mutually beneficial relationships, while ensuring compliance with our CSR policy. This approach strengthens our competitive position while guaranteeing the satisfaction of our customers.

Sorting within the company

Sustainable development is a priority for our company, and this is reflected in our recycling practices. We have introduced selective sorting of office paper, plastic bottles, metal cans and our production waste (paper, film, wood, metal) at all our production sites. This initiative aims to maximise the recycling of our waste and reduce our impact on the environment.

Sustainable development

We promote sustainable development in a safe, friendly and welcoming working environment. In 2023, we set a new record with more than 550 days without a workplace accident at our Illfurth site. This achievement illustrates our commitment to a sustainable and responsible corporate culture.
