Microperforation
Microperforation is a process by which small holes are created in a paper or film material to ensure vapor or water permeability, ventilation, respiratory activity, or to create tear lines facilitating opening. In addition, this method is particularly used to extend the shelf life of food products, especiallty in cheese and fresh salads market. Also, it enables better regulation of humidity and gas exchange, while reducing condensation and preventing food spoilage, thus maintaining freshness. The microperforation helps reduce food waste.
